Pure-Safe-Beneficial Products-Cruelty Free-Certified Vegan
Jan 7th, 2011 | By Admin | Category: Vegan ArticlesI was introduced to some amazing baby care products when I was pregnant with my daughter. So impressed that I became a representative of the company of which markets them.
Baby products are a special breed of products because they are the first thing we put onto our babies skin and hence it is the first time our babies are directly exposed to either good or bad ingredients.
My daughter has sensitive skin, like myself, it is also so very dry here in Southern California, so to have a product that is pediatrician tested and specifically formulated to target the needs of a baby, is wonderful. I know some of you are rolling your eyes and thinking, oh it is just another sales pitch to sell products, well I am sorry to disappoint you, but I am really sending this post out so more of you are aware of what ingredients you need to steer clear of when it comes to your baby, and you of course.
Just do me a favor. Go to your child’s room or your bathroom and check the list of ingredients on the back of the products. If you are like me, you care what you put onto their delicate skin, so take a moment and check. Is their petroleum, mineral oil, colors, dyes, fragrance, talc or any ingredients you cannot pronounce? If so, just take a minute to think about why these ingredients are in these products. There are no other reasons than that they are either cheap fillers or either masking smells of other products that should never be used on you or your babies skin.
Petroleum comes from petrol. I do not have to elaborate on that. Mineral oil is an occlusive oil and is the second cause, next to the sun, of premature aging. Colors are unnecessary ingredients that are thought to bring pleasure, but also are irritants. Dyes, same thing. Fragrances are put into products to mask the smell of animal by-products in the formulations, they are also known irritants. Talc clogs pores and does not let your skin breath naturally. Last but not least, the ingredients that you do not recognise or cannot pronounce are generally the animal by-products that are used as fillers and stabilizers.
Now getting back to the good stuff.
Arbonne International has a line of ABC-Arbonne Baby Care products that are formulated to meet the needs of little ones. They are all botanically based, PH balanced, hypoallergenic, pediatrician tested, dermatologist tested, not tested on animals, contain no animal products or by-products, contain no mineral oil, contain no petrolatum ingredients, are dye free, free of added fragrances and are certified vegan. I am so proud of this. I hope that you can do this little activity and take this knowledge to the store next time and find products that are geared toward not disrupting the natural function of your babies skin. Better yet, let me know if you are interested in learning more or want to try a sample.
I cannot say enough about the ABC baby products. I can honestly say to you that I have not to this day found a product that matches them. Price wise or formula wise.
